What is quite new is a stretched Challenger SRT8. You read it right. There is now a stretched limousine based on the Challenger. The extraordinary muscle-car-cum-limousine was done by LA Custom Coach following the guidance and vision of its topman Philip Eiselin. The president of the firm was attracted by the design of the wheels of the Challenger so he started from there and built the concept so we can see the muscle car converted to a limousine.

After some concept images done on the computer, the first Challenger SRT8 limo was born. In order to have an easy entry and exit, the Challenger gets four doors and somehow this design added complexity to the work. Per Eiselin relates that the Challenger limo is quite a head turner when it is parked and outshines luxury rides like a Rolls-Royce or a Bentley.

The car interior features black finish with red trims but no traces of chrome. There is also the swirling skylight which adds some effect and drama to the Challenger limo. Of course it also comes with some mood lighting and a full bar.

We wonder if the Challenger SRT8 can do some amazing burnouts but you might have to give a big tip to your chauffeur in order to convince him to risk the rubbers and his job.

For now, the limo is a very unique ride but LA Custom Coach is working on the second unit of a stretched Challenger SRT8 plus some more on the pipeline for the future.

Limo Broker, a brokerage of limousine service based in the UK disclosed recently their plans of building the first stretch limousine that will use the Audi R8 and its very powerful V10 as its base. The Audi R8 Limo will be made in collaboration with the company Carbonyte UK which is the firm responsible for constructing the first Ferrari limo. The build has already begun on this unique form of transport.

The production unit of the stretch limo will depend on the monstrous potential of the 5.2L V10 engine. This powerplant is capable of producing a 525 horsepower and a torque of around 391 pound feet.

The added weight may slow the limousine a bit but the stock V10 can bring the R8 from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds and a few seconds more to its top speed of 194.4 miles per hour.

The Audi R8 limousine is expected to roll out by summer of 2012 donning its simple white finish. We do not know yet the tag price for this Audi limo but definitely you need to add to the already hefty sticker price of $149,000 of the stock version.

On a related news for limo fans, Castagna Milano, a limo builder based in Italy, also plans to have a limo by modifying the small Fiat 500. The coach builder plans to give two more meters in length. We might expect a slower ride if the standard issue 101 horsepower will be used for this conversion.

A lot of skills are up to you. It goes without saying that your driving skills need to be exemplary. You have to know how to drive both defensively and safely. You need a knowledge of the area and you need to be able to read a map in an instant.

As you work on these, also make plans to take whatever training or tests are required by your state, so that you can be licensed.

It is hard to say exactly what you have to do, in a specific vein, because different states will require different things from you in order to become a limo driver.

So, the very first thing you need to do is check out the local DMV or Secretary of State office, whichever is applicable. The people there will tell you what requirements you have to pass in order to become a licensed chauffeur. Among other things you will find out whether you have to take a written test and then pay a fee, or if you will need to go through training.

Now I have truly seen it all.  I did not think that it could be done but really – truly, this limo looks pretty … interesting.  The Subaru Tribeca Limo was built by a Boston dealer and they have actually formed a Subaru Tribeca Owners Club so that is the reason why this dealer wanted to really take it to the extreme – however I do not exactly know how great it looks.

Personally, I would not ever be driven around in this thing – however, a lot of people really do like this particular limo.  Everything about it is custom-made, from the inside all the way to the outside … so it might actually be worth seeing the inside of it huh?

They truly will stretch anything in the world and the Subaru Tribeca Limo is no exceptions at all.

Now, I am the type of person that is constantly looking for new limos and constantly trying to keep you guys up-to-date on some of the latest trends in limos and then … well, and then this one popped up and I just had to go ahead and share it with you guys. 

This is actually a stretched out classic Mustang that looks pretty cool to be honest.  While a few owners have butchered and chopped up their classic cars – this own actually stretched theirs out.

This little car – quite a while ago was up for sale on eBay and it actually sold for about $15k, so that is pretty cool!  While I do not think that I would want to be escorted around in this particular car … simply because classic is not my style, going to prom in the stretch Mustang would be pretty cool right?

Limousines are not like other cars, so to drive one, you also need to know how to properly maintain it. After all, business depends on the look of the car — everything has to look good and everything has to work correctly in order for you to be successful.

First thing’s first. You have to have great driving skills, of course. Limos are big and you have to be equipped to handle them. Not only that, but your driving record has to be absolutely flawless. It needs to be utterly impeccable. It is imperative that you can drive defensively as well — but not too defensively. You definitely do not want to get road rage in a limousine.

Once upon a time, impeccable map reading abilities were necessary as well — and still are, but these days, GPS navigation tools can be a big help as well.

You really need to think about your needs; if at all possible, you should not settle for less than what you want. Do you need drinks? Do you want ice? Is there a certain route you want to take? What about any stops which will need to be made?

Safety is, of course, a very vital consideration as well. Make sure that the limo company you ultimately choose is a respectable and reputable one. Make sure it is registered with its — or your — state and that the company has all the insurance it needs. If a company cannot or will not show you its insurance information and licensing credentials in a timely manner, run fast.

No matter what, however, you want to make sure that you reserve your limo early enough — especially if you need it for a popular event. With weddings, even, you should try to book up to a year in advance. Proms and things of that nature can be booked a few months before the event.
